Purchasing Real Estate
Currently, San Andreas is experiencing a booming real estate market. There are many Houses, Condos and such available for purchase to suit all tastes and walks of life. Property prices range from $20K to $5 Million dollars and cover basic housing to high life mansion living.
All new characters get a “starter apartment” at no cost. You can’t place any storage items in the starter apartments, but can place other furniture items. Once you have been given an apartment, it will be noted on your map as a yellow apartment building icon.
Purchasing a New House/Apartment:
Simply go to the location you want to inquire about purchasing. They’re marked with a green house symbol with a dollar sign in it. Apartments are a green multi-story building icon with a dollar sign in the upper left corner.
If it’s available to purchase, you can purchase it in the marker, usually near the door. You must have enough money in the bank to purchase it, or pick a mortgage option, and it must not currently be owned by anyone else.
Once you own a property, you can enter it and use the Home Management marker to do most things.
Key Commands to Remember:
- /housing – Opens the management tab for your house. Only the “public” tab is available to players. The other tabs are for admins and real estate agents. You can manage pretty much everything from within this set of menus.
- You will have to lock your own doors if you purchase a house that has not been owned before or that had the door locks deleted. This is so you can decide what you want locked and what you don’t.
Vehicle garages are private garages, meaning only the owner can park cars in them. And if you park one in there, you can only get it out from there. It may not be available to spawn from public garages. Moving your garage location won’t take effect until the next server restart.
For storage in your house, you must purchase furniture from the storage category at one of the furniture stores. Furniture stores have other furniture options, as well. These stores are are located at postal 7192, off Hawick Avenue, or inside the YouTool at postal 3052. Both of these are marked with a purple crate icon. Once you’ve purchased the furniture, you can use your House Management menu or use the item from your inventory to place it where you want it.
You also have CCTV cameras available in the furniture store. You can view areas around your property with those.
Hot Tubs:
You can purchase hot tubs from the hardware stores (white wrench icon on the map). Hot tubs should only be placed on your own property unless you are using them temporarily for a party or meet. If they’re temporary use, pick them up when you’re done so they aren’t there after server restart, admins don’t want to have to delete your hot tub that was left behind.
To place your hot tub, “use” it from your inventory. It will spawn directly in front of you just a few steps away, and facing you. You will have prompts on the screen to interact with it. You can open/close the top, control lights, water jets and more. If you want to move it, you’ll need to use the /removehottub command to pack it up into your inventory.
INACTIVE PLAYERS GET EVICTED! If you aren’t active in the server (for 30 days or more) we periodically remove those inactive accounts that own homes to free up properties for more active players. There are no refunds and no reimbursements for lost items stored in the property or the cost of the property, itself. Most of this process is automated.
If you mortgage a house and the payments aren’t made, the house will also get repossessed. There are no refunds/replacements if you fail to keep up with your mortgage. This is also automated.
